Saw advert for Derma-Juvenate plus their eye cream offering free trial of their product and shipping fee of $4.99 and $3.79 for each individual item. I used it and liked it but then read up on it - unfortunately after the fact - to discover the scam. My Visa was checked and yes there were unauthorized charges and apparently they bill each month like a subscription to a magazine! I never ticked any boxes on the online add authorizing this or saw any notice to check fine print. Unfortuately I can not find the add to discover what I may have missed. I phoned the numbers on my email and spoke three times to different call centres. Each call was incredibly difficult to hear and understand. The centres are obviously off shore as all the people I spoke to had accents, spoke very quietly and with the incredible back ground noise of other people on the phones it was a very frustrating telephone call. Eventually after the third person I was given a ROM # and they say when I return the product my visa will be refunded. I have been in touch with Visa so will see what happens. I have to give them 2 weeks to refund the monies. Note to self - do not purchase online without triple checking its authenticity and read all - if any - small print!
