On May 13 2014, my car was towed to Cenco Transmission to be repaired due to a known recal where coolant leaked into transmission from the raidiator, causing transmission failure. When my car was brought into Cenco for repair, I spoke with the manager of the store Mak he ran a diagnostic on my vehicle confirmed that coolant leaked into the transmission from the radiator. I advised him that a diagnostic was done at the Nissan Dealership in Garden City, NY and they said the same. I asked for a cost to fix the vehicle which I was originally quoted $1500 for the repair of my vehicle and I was told I could pick my vehicle up July 17, 2014. I was told the raidiator did not have to be replaced that it would be flushed & parts of the transmission needed to be fixed. When I arrived on 5/17/2014 to pick up my vehicle, the price given on 5/13/2014 of $1500.00 to complete the repair was not the price of the invoice, there had been an additional $800 for unauthorized services that were added to the invoice (totalling $2365)at the time of pickup . After speaking with the shop owner, "Danny", via telephone he adivsed the store manager Mak, to make deductions to my bill. My bill was now $1675, I informed Mak that I could not pay that amount because I was told $1500 for the complete repair. Mak then advised I could pay $1475 on 5/17/14 and come back in 2 weeks on May 31, 2014 to pay the remaining balance of $200 and if I did they would honor my warranty to fix my vehicle if this problem occured again. If the balance payment was not made on that day 5/31/2014 my warranty would be null & void, I agreed. I went back to the auto repair shop, that goes by the name Cenco Transmissions located at 1090 Atlantic Ave.,Brooklyn, NY 11238 (718) 636-5500 on May 31, 2014 to pay the $200 balance. Mak was not there, he advised that I leave the cash with a worker named Jean, I advised him that I did not feel comfortable leaving cash with anyone but him, he stated he was bringing his daughter to New Jersey and was not able to come to the shop that day. I paid the balance of $200 on 5/31/14 and received a signed receipt stating that my warranty would be honored. On July 17th, 2014 my vehicle was towed to Cenco located at 1090 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11238(718) 636-5500, via AAA and I was informed that the reason my vehicle was not working was because of the initial transmission/radiator issue I brought it in for on 5/13/14 where coolant leaked into transmission from the raidiator, causing transmission failure. My vehicle is now at Cenco Transmission although that is not stated on the shops name but it is located at The manager of the shop Mak is not honoring the warranty, I am having diffuculty getting any information & I am not able to speak with the owner, they refuse to have him contact me directly. Instead I am given the run around, they place me on hold then hang up the phone line. I agreed, I would pay for a new raidiator but that is all. The service there is horrible & they do not give information as to when you are getting your vehicle back or when repairs will be complete. This establishment is very unprofessional & dishonest do not deserve to be in business or deal with the public. (718-636-5500
