I just received a call from a foreign male asking for my husband; I told them I was his wife & asked what this is about. Caller ID came up as a Washington DC phone #. He told me he was calling from Los Angeles, CA & despite my attempts to tell him caller ID states call from Washington DC he adamantly denied this. He went on to say legal action has been filed against my husband & I needed to call his supervisor Russell Reed at 202-864-1161 ext. 768519 "IMMEDIATELY AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS CALL", or legal action would also be taken against me. I said to send something in writing, a registered letter - he said we've been unresponsive to two previous letters. I suspected a scam since no "official" correspondence has been received. He denied it was a scam & continued with his threatening tone. I called the number given - it instructed me to leave a message which I did not do. Afterwards, I did some research & confirmed my suspicions this is a scam. The whole thing was quite distubing & I'm quite sick of it.

I telecommute from home & every day I get at least 4-5 calls from the various scammers, ie. Consumer Services, Cardholders, Survey & a new one has highjacked the home phone number of a neighbor. We need our air waves cleared of this drivel!!!
