I received a call stating I applied for a loan a few weeks earlier which I likely had... I was encouraged to borrow the full amount as a favor to the gentleman with the indian accent who went by Joseph Williams. it was a great loan for 15 months @ $400 a month, then he had me running around all night looking for a prepaid verification voucher?and load $250 just to verify that I had some funds available. They said they were at 711's, Walgreens, Rite aid. So I went and NO ONE knew what I was talking about. I come home, and he tells me it's a green dot. Go get a green dot. come home. Not a green dot CARD. A green dot money pack will only do. I load it. I've already asked him if he's going to ask me for the scratch off number on the back. He says no. By the end of the call Im crying because he needs that code and I'm desperate begging him not to do anything fraudulent because it's all the money I have. He assures me they are a reputable company. I gave him the code. He tells me I can stay on the line or call him back in 15 minutes. I call him back only to get Kevin Peterson on the phone who tells me I need to send an additional $435 wire transfer fee. I told him that I told the other agent Joseph that was everything I has that's why I need this loan. I said if I can't come up with the money and we can't go through with the loan I get my money back that I sent for verification of funds on the greendot money pack. No refund. I must take the loan. He said he would take $200 instead. But after reading another woman's story where she paid the whole thing and waited the 15 minutes but never got anything. Greendot is going to provide me the funds back on to the card I purchased by mistake. This is terrible to do to people. On the holidays too.
