Wow they are calling me for an interview Friday April 13, 2012. Thank you for sharing information about the scam. Call me a skeptic, but in this life you DO NOT get something for nothing. I figured in this day an age why would someone trust me with their valuable items without first requiring a backround check. That was my first red flag. Second was that they were too eager to offer me employment. Unemployment is too high in the US for a company to be so eager to hire me. (I have not been able to sit for the interiew as they do not call at the appointed time) Third when they contacted me I told them I called to reschedule. They apologized and said they were aware of that, but wanted to interiview me now. When in your working life have you heard this. Also Iied, I could tell he thought I may have been lying, but he STILL wanted to hire me? Lastly, if you check with some reputable home business companies they are not hiring, lol. Most have a page posted noting that they never will be but thanks for looking. I wanted to include all of this because it took some creative searching to find this thread. So if someone google searched for Swift-Post Scam, hopefully they will find it.

Right now they are working the east coast. Floridia has been exhusted and they are working their way up. To date they are targeting North Carolina and Georgia due to the lax laws unfortunately. The only people who can be found/prosecuted are the middlemen, which would be us/you.

For those considering "keeping the merch" "for edvidence (to sell to recoop promised payment) just a warning. Right now you are guilty of receiving stonen merch, mail fraud, etc.. The thing is your actions were predicated on good faith. ie you thought you were doing a job and would be compensated. If you sell/pawn the items, you will be guilty of sell the stolen merch with no real way of explaining that away.

Just a thought. Good luck to everyone. link to this site for others who have been scammed. http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-858-429-9993/2#p380120245263002091
