Be careful. This company is a scam. They tell you that you are approved and request 1st and last payment plus fees. They will not execute the lease without you paying them that amount first. After they get your money then they do the approval and if there is anything wrong they steal your money.

They have been holding $10,000 of our company money for well over 3 months now. Started process in FEB'12 and it is now APR'12

Stay away, there are plenty of other LEGIT companies to finance your equipment.

  • The company and individual filing this complaint is Vincent Murray @ Frank Murray & Sons Inc dba Murray Products. Our company, Newport Financial Partners, LLC, approved Murray Products for an equipment loan based on the information provided on their credit application signed and dated on 1/23/2012 showing Lynn Murray-Shea as 100% owner of Murray Products. We received the signed contract dated 2/24/2012 from Murray Products on Feb 27th agreeing to all terms of this transaction stating that any and all information provided to Newport Financial Partners LLC and/or its assignees is true. However on March 1st, we received notice from our bank that Frank and Vincent Murray were also principal owners in Murray Products. This information was totally contradictory to the information we received from Murray Products on their signed credit application. As a result, one of our account managers contact Vincent and asked for proof of ownership showing Lynn as sole owner in the company.
    Here is a timeline of the events that transpired afterward:
    March 1st- Florida SOS shows Lynn, Vincent, and Frank as directors in the company.
    March 2nd- We receive Frank Murray & Sons, Inc's Schedule G showing "persons owning voting stock" which showed Lynn and Vincent as 50/50 owners. However, in pen, they crossed out Vince's voting stock and wrote in 0 and crossed out Lynn's and wrote in 100%. Because crossing out ownership percentage in pen isn't sufficient evidence we asked for something more official like articles of corporation or Schedule K-1.
    March 2nd- Also received signed authorization to pull Vincent's credit score which was below unsatisfactory
    March 6th- An updated Florida SOS now shows Lynn and Vincent as directors in the company. Frank Murray was removed.
    March 15th- Updated SOS shows only Lynn as director.
    March 20th- We received Lynn's stock issue cert showing she owned 500 of 1000 shares.
    March 26th- We received stock sale agreement showing Vince sold his 500 shares to Lynn.

  • Please beware of this company Newport Financial Partnership. I am trying to help potential borrowers from having the same problem. NEVER send 1st. and Last payment for a lease that is not even approved. This is this companies hidden agenda and very unethical at that.

    As you can see the company is now revealing personal information that is of a confidential matter. There will be legal action taken on several issues. All information will be kept up to date on this website as well as other websites like it.

  • This timeline clearly shows Murray Products' intent during this financing process. They tried to hide Vincent's ownership in the company because they knew with his poor credit score the company wouldn't be able to secure the necessary financing for their company. Additionally, by withholding information and not disclosing the true representation of the company's ownership, Vincent and Lynn violated the terms of our agreement and application which clearly states that they agree that all information provided to Newport Financial Partners, LLC is "a true and correct representation as of the stated date (2/24/12) and there exists no liabilities (direct or contingent) except as set forth in the schedules...Newport Financial Partners, LLC will immediately be notified of any material change in the facts regarding this transaction. Tenant agrees to provide any and all information requested by Newport Financial Partners, LLC in the processing and funding of this transaction. In the event a Lease is not commenced at the election of the Tenant, for any reason, or in the event that Tenant does not supply the diligence items required by Lessor, or should an event occur as described under Rental Adjustment herein, then the good faith deposit will be forfeited by Tenant and retained by Lessor as partial compensation for expenses incurred."
    Additionally, Murray Products also violated the terms of our confidentiality agreement in filing a complaint with Scambook. Because of these gross violations, Newport Financial Partners, LLC exercises its right to enforce the Default clause in the signed agreement stating " In the event Tenant breaches any of its obligations under this Lease, then Landlord shall be entitled to: (i) terminate this Lease and retain the entire Deposit..."

    It is clearly apparent that Mr. Murray forgot or chose not to disclose these details when filing his complaint with Scambook.

  • Business ethics missing.
    The consumer has many rights and one person against many always has it's place.
    This will not end until the customer is treated properly. Newport Financial does not want to let go of this customers money. Awful business practice, very sad. Next time use a reputable source when trying to acquire financing of any kind.

    Mr. Murray, you've been screwed.

  • Update: Newport Financial is now threatening me. They are prying into my personal life and posting it on open forums. I have a legal battle that will be starting soon.

    Also, just checked into the Better Business Bureau and found several other complaints exactly like mine. This is a common business practice by these guys.

    Stay AWAY, find a leasing company with a good name and reputation.
