I ordered several items via Email from Century Photo on Fri. Nov 26, 2010. They billed and collected $132.95 from my Mastercard credit card immediately, under the name New Century Direct, the date 11/29/2010 shows on my Mastercard bill. I never received any of the merchandise I ordered. It is now April 2012. I have called and Emailed them numerous times. At the beginning of this fiasco, I talked to an actual person a couple of times. The first time, on Fri. Dec 10, 2010, around the time the merchandise was supposed to have arrived, I finally talked to someone after waiting a half hour before a person came on the phone,. They claimed that some of my items were now out of stock until early Feb. 2011, and that they had to have all the merchandise I ordered to send any of it. On Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, I talked to Norma. She claimed they had to find a new manufacturer for the pages that go in the recipe books I ordered, and that was what was taking so long. She said that the recipe books were in now, but they needed the pages before they could send them. She promised that backorders such as mine would be filled first when the pages arrived. In mid-March 2011, I also talked to a person same basic story. On Tue, April 5, 2011 I left a message, with my order#, my name and phone#, date of my order and 2 back order dates, and asked for word on what was going on with my order. I got a reply Email from customer service on April 21, 2011. They again claimed my items were on backorder and should ship in 4 to 6 weeks. They offered me 15% off on my next order for being a loyal customer. Since then, I have received the exact same Email from them on May 24, 2011, June 28, 2011, July 28, 2011. Some time during this wait, either in a catalogue or on-line they claimed that the recipe books I had on backorder were being closed out, and hurry and order to complete your set, before they are all gone! The last Email I got from them on Nov. 17, 2011, claimed they were reorganizing and retraining, and that starting November 23rd, 2011 that every sku would have an estimated delivery date, and that they would be notifying customers. That there would also be Refunds/Credits possible, and that within 72 hours of contacting customer service they would provide an estimated date of credit/refund check which were to be sent within 30 days of notice if not sooner. They asked for a short period of time to get caught up on their backlog of communications. I have not heard a peep from them since then... about 5 months since that last Email, today is April 13, 2012.
