I looked at my banking online this morning and saw that there was a pending charge for $10.25 from FirstCarPlaza.in. I have never even heard of this company and never pirchased anything from them. I looked online and found all these reports about this company doing the exact same thing. I called my bank but since it is still pending they can't remove it and I can dispute it once it posts to my account. According to my bank the charge came around 4pm while I was working. I found a number for them online and when I called they said it was an online purchase made at 3:53pm for a car radio transmitter. I asked how they obtained my information and she stated it was given online which it definetly was not. I don't even have a car! When I asked where the merchandise was being shipped to she could not provide that and when I asked to speak to manager or better yet owner I was hung up on. I am now out this money from my account and just has surgery so my momney is very limited until I go back to work and get a full paycheck. I have checks written and this will cause my rent check to bounce. While it is a small amount at this point since I am on medical leave with only getting 50% of my paycheck this is causing a huge problem. I still want to know how these people obtained my information since I have only used the card for at work caferteria and local stores and I just opened this account a few months ago. And my previous bank card from another bank never had this issue when used at the same locations. Now I'm worried what other information did they obtain and possibly using to get credit cards in my name. The company is a fraud and should be stopped! And it I get hit with any overdraft charges they should have to pay that as well.
