I want to warn everyone that a new scam is out there. I was looking to purchase a Chow Chow puppy for our family and went to the Recycler, Los Angeles, edition and found 17 advertisements. Each ad was asking between $100.00 and $200.00 for their puppies. I answered 5 ads through their blind e-mail, asking questions like how many puppies left, what color, how many males vs females, etc. and received 4 responses. All 4 responses were very similar. They were giving their one puppy for adoption but needed the money for shipping. Since they all were local I asked for contact info as I wanted to see the pups and I would just pick them up. Two of them stopped answering but one stated that it was not possible as they now lived in Houston, TX. One answered they were now in Honolulu, HI. The Texas one I said that's ok I travel lots to Houston on business and would stop by and pick up, just give contact info. Now dead silence from all of them. They promise what amounts to be too good to be true stuff like potty trained, vet checked, AKC registration toys travel crates, etc. and free to get you to wire money to them for shipping then you will never see dog or money again.
Recycler should actually check out their own advertisers better.
