This just happened to my 85 year old mother. I was viewing her checking account transactions today and saw a check posted yesterday 05/07/12 in amount $448.74 - pay to order of YR Benefits - No Signature Required. I immediately called the phone# shown 888-778-0073 and spoke to 'Rob' ID#0942 who stated they were a 3rd Party Service company that 'services' YR Benefits which is Secure Medical Group - provides a Medical discount package blah blah blah. Although my mother's memory is not that great this transaction supposedly took place just 4 days ago and she has no recollection of speaking to ANYONE on the phone about this service or agreeing to any such plan. She has all the medical coverage she needs. I asked what proof we would have that she has this service (other than the check they managed to debit) and Rob stated she would receive a package in the mail with her card and benefit information - we've not received this package yet. I told Rob we needed to cancel this service and he stated it would be done immediately and a full refund issued within 21 days. This remains to be seen of course. I do NOT understand how this is legal - how can they just debit her bank account?
