I received a text message on April 29, 2012 stating that I had won $1,000.00 from filling out a survey for Walmart. I always take the surveys so I thought I had finally won. The link in the text was www.walmart.com.myfreecard.biz/claim. Seeing "walmart" in the link, I trusted that the message was valid. Thinking that my kids and I were receiving the gift card, I spent my food money on my car insurance and a few house bills that were due in 2 weeks. Normally, I buy groceries on the 1st of each month and my bills get paid late because my paychecks come after my house bills. Thanks to this scam, I've had to borrow money from family so I could buy food to feed my 2 kids. Since my relatives live check to check also, I could only borrow $75. I had to sell my car to get cash so that my children and I would have food. If I lose my job due to this we will end up pretty much homeless.
