I was told that I would get a free song ringtone for my phone. T was asked my cell number and carrier. I input that information. I got a text message to input a four number code to confirm. I did that and got a message that I would be billed $9.99 per month. There was a 800 number to call with questions, if I had any. I certainly did, as I did not subscribe to anything, it also had to unsubscribe, I had to put STOP in the message and send it back, I did that before I called the 800 number. I called the 800 number I was speaking to a person in South Africa. Renaldo said that the only way he would be able to cancel was to send me a check, All of this happened in about two minutes. I asked to speak to Supervisor in the United States. Renaldo said he would be able to connect me to a supervisor in South Africa, he said it was not possible to connect me with one in the United States. I did speak to Frank a supervisor in South Africa. He confirmed that he could only send me a check. I said that was not acceptable and that my attorney would be contacting then as this is a scam, i asked for the address in New York. Frank said that he could not give me that. The next thing I know I was disconnected. I immediately called my carrier. They didn’t see a charge as of yet. The carrier rep made notes and said that he would be watching. He said that he will call me . I am sure he will as it was Verizon, and they are awesome.

  • This story completely mirrors my experience with this sham of a company. One click to distinguish my cell phone provider and 1 entry of my cell phone number resulted in a supposed $9.99 monthly fee. The man I spoke with from the 800 number was less than pleasant, and he tried to send me a refund check, though after reading this, I doubt I'll ever see it. I called my provider and they told me they'd waive any fees from this service that show up on my account.

    It baffles me that after 1 click and entering my phone number that there's NO confirmation/verification of being charged. Such a crock of shit.
