I decided to take advantage of a prepaid cremation plan to spare my daughter and family the confusion and sudden expense in the event they should survive my death. I choose cremation because I always felt cemetaries are a waste of land space especially as our population expands and the demand for housing increases. An "Area Counselor" came to my house, I provided all the required information and chose the option of charging the down payment of $499.00 to my credit card. I was given a business card with an alternate phone number to call Client Services @ 888-979-2878 for an arrangement for 90 day same as cash pay-off. The "Counselor" also told me (and the contract information states) that I would be recieving my urn and statements in approximately 2-3 weeks. That was March 8th. April 12th I called customer service to ask about making future payments and inquire about reciept of the Urn and first I was told the credit card payment, "didn't go through". I have the credit card statement that indicates that the charge was approved that day. When I told the representatve I had proof to the contrary, she transferred me to another representative. That representative contradicted the previous one and said it also showed that and addition payment had been made, charged to my Visa card. That's strange, first of all because I don't have a Visa card, and the reason I calling is because I haven't recieved any statements that indicate where or how I'm to submit the remainder of payments. That second representative said she would,"check on some things and call me back". I waited... no call back that day. I waited, being patient, allowing time for them to do necessary research, but no call back from that date on. I called again today (June 4th) to inform them that I still haven't recieved my Urn or payment schedule for 90days same as cash, and it was as if they had never heard from me. in fact that rep gave me the same line as a month ago, "...I'll call you back later". They're FOS and I just want my $499.00 back and will do whatever it takes.
