I received a postcard from Worldwide Travel promising 2 free Continental U.S. airline tickets and then attended a very well attended and professional presentation about their "Membership" which involves putting thousands of dollars down to receive a "discount" rate on condo rentals all over the world. I am somewhat gullible, my husband is not, and it at first seemed like it would make our vacations less expensive. The sales people were very pleasant, and even the "exec" who "normally doesn't sell" was decent to us when we decided not to take the offer (the "Membership" ranged from $7K, shrinking to $1500K for membership, showing what a scam it is--we're certain a few actually paid $5K-7K that night). However, when we decided not to join and were ready to leave we were subjected to an insulting and angry THIRD individual a THIRD attempt to sell us the membership. By this time we were exhausted and giggly, but when the third salesperson said she was getting red in the face trying to get the greatness of this offer through our thick skulls, I told her we had been very understanding (laughed instead of getting angry) when we realized that the "free airline tickets" were a $200 scam. The Ultimate Executive Air free tickets requires a "non-refundable" tax deposit of $99 for each ticket, and an undisclosed "transaction fee." You have to send cash. Crazy, ugly, scam.
