I also ordered a motorcycle, 2002 Honda VT-750 and sent a wire to NY and was told it would arrive in 7-10 business days. Upon questioning the sales manager (by email only) that person stated I could reverse the order if I deducted 185.00 for shipping from the total I had paid.
I stated that would that would be ok if I was provided with a bill of lading on that companies letterhead and the companies phone #. Never heard anything back after that and fully expect the web site to disappear soon . I have found a company in Oregon that answers to that name and contacted the BBB for that area and filed a complaint. I also contacted my bank to see if I could reverse the wire and was told that the NY Bank could not contact the owner of the account. My next attempt will be to contact the bank in question and ask them if they support wire fraud in the hope they will take notice of the strange goings on in that account. The more complaints and the faster we put them in the higher likelyhood we can catch them. Good hunting and even if you do not receive your money back would you want to let this happen to someone else?
Safe to say, document, document, document. Save emails, web pages, tags, anything of value up to and including the faces of the manager and sales manager.
