we received a call on the 30th of june 2012 from steven hoffman of icare timeshares stating that we had a contract with them dating back to 2010 for selling our timeshare that we have in fredericksburg va and lo and behold they finally had a buyer for us. sounded to good to be true and being trusting people we believed him. everything he said sounded very legit. so we figured sending him $299.00 for title search was feasible. well we were supposed to get $14,000 on Tuesday and he called on monday the 2nd of july with a story about special assessment at the resort and needed $450.00 to pay it. we got suspicous and called the resort no special assessment so we went to the local sheriff's office and talked to a deputy that did some research for us. now when this guy called us the # showed Ipd marketing and that is the info we gave the deputy my husband being the trusting guy that he is sent the $450.00 to this jerk and we have not been able to get in touch with him since he got our money. again his name is steven hoffman or steven ernst as that is who the money was sent to via western union. we have filed fraud claims with western union, Virginia state police and our local sheriff's dept. today i will be calling our state attorney general's office and talking to them also. let me reiterate that the deputy called us and told us that Ipd marketing did not have any problems or complaints as of yet. this guys phone # is 7725017693 if called during the day it rings 2x and goes to busy signal. early morning get answering machine.
