On the Halifax and Lloyds sites we saw an advert for DeadSeaKit.com saying that for only the cost of postage at £3.95 we could have a free set of three facial care. As it looked as though it was from the banks, we thought it was safe. The kit arrived but a few weeks later my Halifax statement credit card showed that DeadSeaKit had taken £57.95, an unauthorised payment. I rang my credit card company in England and was horrified to be told that if I didn't cancel it, this money would come out every month. The telephone number of DeadSeaKit given on the statement (I only had to add a nought, said the Halifax phone man) was 'not recognised'. Halifax will TRY to stop any further unauthorised payments - the next one is due in four days on the 18th July. Halifax will pass this on to their Disputes Team who will take up this. He was appalled that this advert had appeared on the Halifax website. Let's hope Halifax can do something about this company. RJS, Eastbourne, England
