I received a letter signed by E. Wright -- urging me to call a toll-free number and confirm my address for a chance at a million dollar prize. I never entered any contest, and I know this is a come-on. How do I remove my name from these "people" who are trying to cheat us? Mojo in California

  • Call the toll-free number and give the ID number on your letter. That will pull up your information and the representative will put you on a do not call list. If you no longer have your letter, you can call 800-308-6247. They will either put you on a do not call list or give you the right number to call to do that. P.S. Don't just say you want to be removed from the list and hang up -- the representative won't know who you are. You need to stay on the line so the representative can find your information in order to delete it.
