I ordered the e-cigs starter kit from an online offer asking only $4.95 S&H. The terms and conditions included the following: "If I enroll in the refill membership program I am agreeing to be charged $99.99 + S/H in 15 days and $79.99 + S&H each 30 days thereafter for a 10-filter refill pack. My order today will be shipped in 2 business days or less. My credit card will be billed and my shipment will be sent automatically at those times. Refill shipments will continue until I call to cancel my Membership at 1-866-830-2464 Monday 4AM - Saturday 10PM CST (24 Hours)" Since I didn't want any on-going commitment (and learned how to refill the cartridges for much less money), I phoned to cancel, as directed. When I asked about any existing debt REPEATEDLY, I was assured that I owed nothing more. I just received my credit card statement, which included the $4.95 charge PLUS a $59.98 charge on the same date (6/23)! I feel I've been deceived.

  • I emailed a version of my complaint to the ecigs company the same night I filed the above. Two days later, I had received no response, so I phoned my credit card company to request help. They contacted the ecigs people immediately and connected me with a representative on the phone. He reminded me that I had also (accidentally) ordered 20 cartridges that night, then phoned them to explain I only intended to order 10. The $59.98 charge is the initial order (for 20 cartridges). A refund for 1/2 of that was posted, but not until 19 days later - the day after my latest card billing period had ended. Therefore , I have NOT truly been charged more than I agreed to. (Items received are high quality.)
