A check was sent to me under the impression it was owed to a friend of mine that is out of the country. It came from Lane Home Furnishings as a cashiers check. After I cashed the check and sent the money, the bank gets in touch with me that the check was bad so now I have to pay back this money. I was totally innocent in this and had no idea I was cashing a bad check. Please help.
