This company sent me a large check for "mystery" shopping which I had just begin to look into as a form of extra income. The check was "issued" by a chemical company in the southeast and drawn on citibank and appeared to be legitimate. I usually throw these things away but I had just recently looked into it. The instructions were to keep 400.00 and to spend 100.00 at one of several stores and send the rest via wire to the company for "training" and other expenses. Because I am a cancer patient on social security I can't afford this expense and am now liable. Please advise.
