We had a 2004 3500 Dodge Ram truck that we wished to sell. We advertised it on Craigs List and Caracquire called us and told us that they could advertise and sell it for us and get more for it than we were asking. The usual turn around time was approximately 2 weeks and they would need $500 to do this. If it was not sold in 90 days they would refund $374.99 and keep the rest for advertising costs. We were told that they would give interested buyers our name and phone number so that they could see and drive the vehicle. We received no calls from anyone and could not even find the truck listed on their web site until they gave us a code number. How could anyone else find it there? At the end of the 90 day contract we filled out the paperwork to get our money returned. The 90 days was up on April 8, which was not only Sunday, but Easter. Since we needed to have the form notorized we took it to our bank on Friday April 6th to have that done. We mailed it to them on Monday the 9th and they received it on the 10th. We waited the 6 weeks that it was to take for the refund and called them. We were informed that we would have the money returned to us in 2 more weeks. After those 2 weeks we called again and were told that we would not get a refund because the paper work was signed and notorized on the 6th, which was 2 days early. We offered to have it redone but then they told us that we only had 7 days after the 90 days to get the paperwork done and to them.
We complained to the Better Business Bureau, but these people ignored them also. There have been several complaints to the BBB about them. We also talked to the Auto Dealers Assn, but they cannot help us. We would like to have the full $500 because this company is not a legitimate auto dealer as they claim.
