I will no longer make purchases from New Egg.
When we purchased under a promotion (no interest for 12 months) we thought we were getting a great promotion no interest payments including no payments in full until April of 2013. I made payments ever
month $100.00) as I calculated this would cover the full payment due over the 12 month period of the principal due.
This month I forestalled a payment as I had other vacation expenses. I now find I am now charged a penalty fee. I all of my experiences (73 years old) normally the minimum payment due is to cover interest payments due on the principal.

Now that you say a minimum payment is due every month..this is is the same as collecting an amount that would be the same as a minimum payment due for interest on a normal account.

I feel this is a a marketing ploy that is wrong. I feel that this should be sent to the consumer protection council because it gets around interest free for 12 months but you are still collecting interest for 12 months (minimum payment due) if I pay the minimum payment due of $30.00 X 12 = $360.00 it is applied to your interest due from the customer.. A great ploy as i would have paid this amount in indirect interest to your company. I plan on taking this further to the consumer protection agency. Does this procedure help your balance sheet in tax reporting

I will be no longer buy from New Egg and will close the account when the balance is paid.
