I ordered a 'special offer' Braun electric toothbrush for £1. To get this I gave my debit card details. The toothbrush never arrived and £45 was debited from my account in June and again in July. I have received nothing from this company to justify this amount being taken without authority.
They have been contacted by phone twice to ask for this money to be refunded and have referred me to a complicated online procedure which I duly followed and requested a refund. Their answer was that I was automatically subscribed to their VIP membership which is automatically renewed and unless you unsubscribe they will continue to deduct money from your account. Many people have been caught by this so I would like to warn hem to stay away from PointShop as they employ underhand methods to procure money from the unsuspecting public.
