Ordered 3 Genie bras on 8/14/11. Specifically told rep. I did not want 2 sets of 3, I wanted only 1 set. She told me there would be no shipping and handling charges on the first set, but there would be on the second set. I again told her I did not want the second set. They sent 2 sets anyway and charged me shipping charges for both sets-$25.98.
Also, I told he my bra size and she said I would fit in a large. Well, I didn't come close to fitting into a large. I would probably need a extra large or extra extra large.
She also asked me if wanted the bras with shields. She described the "shields" as cloth liners to keep "you know what" from showing under your T-shirt. I told her I had had a mastectomy and had a prosthetic breast. I asked her if the pocket for the "shields" would accomodate a prosthesis. She went to consult with someone else and came back and said they would.
She went on for another 20 minutes trying to get me to buy bras for someone else and telling me I had won a vacation to the Bahamas and a bunch of other crazy stuff that I kept saying,NO NO NO, I don't want anything else. Just send the one set of bras.
So I open the package and have 2 sets of 3 bras and have been charged for shipping 2 sets. They don't fit. The "shields" are actually like a padded bra. (Do I need a padded bra at 38 D?) The opening for the pocket was barely big enough to get the padding out and would definitely not been big enough for my breast prosthesis. In the meantime, a friend told me she had found the Genie Bra at a local store, 2 for $20 with a 20% off discount. I called Genie Bra on 8/18/11 to cancel the order. They said it was too late. It had already gone out. When I received the packaged, I called about returning them. They tried really hard to convince me to do a return for a bigger size. I had to repeat several times that I did not want another set, I wanted to return everything and wanted a full refund. They said I would be refunded for the price of the bras-71.93, but not for the shipping and handling. They also said I would also have to pay for shipping it back to them and wanted it back in next 5 business days. Since I was about to leave town, I had to run to FED EX and pay $8.58 to ship it back.
I feel I should be refunded all of the shipping charges-the $25.98 for getting the bras and the $8.58 to return them.
