I too fell for this terrible scam. I feel like such an idiot because I am normally very careful about who I give my information out to. The reason why I thought this one wasn't a scam is the facebook post I saw did not have the usual look of a scam. By the time I realized that this was a total scam, I had already gotten a confirmation email. Here are the actions that I have taken so far:
1. Sent two cancellation emails to HCG ultra
2. changed my facebook password
3. Cancelled my debit card
I have capital one and according to the person I spoke to on the phone this morning, Capital one DOES refund it's customers for unauthorized charges, but you can't dispute them until they are officially posted to your account are are no longer pending. I'm going to try and convince them that this was an unauthorized charge (I sent them a cancellation email before they charged my card) to try and get all of my money back. I don't know how that's gonna go, but I'm gonna try my hardest to convince them it was unauthorized.
