I applyed one day for a modeling agency and got a phone call after a couple of days saying that they want me to go for a testshoot and I'll have to pay a 50 pounds deposit fee for a booking wich I can recover on the day if I'm not accepted or I change my mind . On the 31 I went for the test shoot wich they said I passed the test shoot and that I've fot the "oportunity" to buy my portofolio .. And after an intensive selling and brain washing speech I had to pay another 200 pounds on top of the 50 I paid as a deposit . And this is just half of the 500 pounds portofolio they say I need .
I had to sign a contract on the day and when I said I want to think about it .. the said they'll delete the photos I took that day as soon as I walk away and I'll miss this "amazing" chance .
I got home and made some research about this studio and the results they had so far in providing people with jobs or agency work . A lot of poor people got sold dreams for a very high price and even the ones that wanted to get the deposit back havent got it before like 20 days from that photoshoot , so not on the day as they were promised .
Even the price for a portofolio is way too big to even be real but the people there are used to sell and put presure to obtain results probably .
Other relevant detaills : I havent received any photos because I have to pay the whole amount before I get any as they say .
I tryed contacting them and asking for my money back but I got refused obviosly .
Serioslly something shold be done about this cuz I'm sure a lot of people paid more than they could afford , like in my case , for NOTHING basically .
I wish I can recover atleast half of the money .
