i purchased an extra firm mattress on the archers sleep centre website on the 8th aug. 2012 and chose 10th of aug as my delivery date. i took a day off from work but after waiting for a delivery for a long time i rang them to ask when i will getit but the customer service representative took my name and mob num and said she will call me back. but as expected she didn't so i called her again and i was given an excuse that the original mattress is lost in the courier and it will be re sent on monday. i took a day off again on monday but no delivery. so i rang them and asked but the person said it will be on tuesday. i was so frustrated as i already had two days off from work just for the delivery. so first thing is that the option given by the company choosing a date and day of your choice is a BIG SCAM.
Secondly when i received a mattress, i told them the next day that it is not the one i ordered. the picture which i saw and i was persuaded to buy that mattress was different and the mattress i got is totally different in looks and it is not the extra firm mattress as it is so soft that when you sit on it, it just sinks. I told the company but they said the manufacturers have changed the cover and used different border and they are in due course to change the image on the website. and i was told that if i want to return it i have to pay £50. I feel like i have been deceived and cheated. why should i have to keep the mattress which i did not choose and it is not up to the satisfactory quality (not extra firm mattress but may be medium firm) and why should i pay £50 to send it back. I am not happy with the service at all and i just want those people to take this mattress away and refund my money.
Lastly the sales people there are so rude and unhelpful especially ms susan edger.
Ihope something will be done soon about my complaint.
