I am angry and very concerned that sky is trying a cover up! 23/07/12 a sky engineer called me regarding my appointment for that day. He stated he'd finished his other job earlier than expected and was it okay for him to come to my property now (earlier than expected) I stated this would be fine. He arrived carried out the repair, left his details and stated if there were any problems, give him a call.I didn't call.
3 days later a sky engineer called at my property, my 15 year old son answered the door. The engineer said he had come to check the sky box. My son was stated: 'my mom is at work, you will have to call her'. He insisted he just needed to check the box, my son was unsure what to do so he called his brother down. Who saw the sky van and allowed the engineer to enter. I was not aware of any of this until my children told me. The engineer assured my kids he would call me. He never did. He also stated he would get an engineer out to check the second box which wasn't working. He didn't do that either.
I called sky and asked why this person had come to my property without a prior appointment, and still entered my home despite being made aware immediately I was not there.
He stated he had no record of this appointment and were we sure it was a sky engineer. I said my children saw the van outside our house. He then suggested I should call the police as there was no appointment booked and no record of this person's call. This fuelled my paranoia. I was really concerned. I then sent a email of complaint. 2 days later whilst at work I received a phone call from a local manager of sky named Jason 02/07/12 I asked him 'was it you who called at my property 26/07/12?' he clearly stated NO. He appeared quite defensive/arrogant. Stated he would look into it. A short time later I received another call from sky a woman named Una. I stated I had written a formal complaint as I was concerned that a man from sky not only called at my home unannounced but proceeded to enter despite being told I was not there. At no point did he check the age of my children.
She stated it was a local manager named Jason who had called that day. I said now I am getting angrier! I have not long spoken to someone called Jason and when I asked if he were the person who was in my home he defensively stated NO! She stated all our staff have been police checked. I stated that was of no reassurance to me as I know through my work, unless a person is convicted of child abuse it would never show up on a CRB check. She asked if I could send her a copy of my formal complaint to: AGTO1 field escalation. I did this and requested a response in writing. I also sent one in the post recorded delivery ON 2/08/2012. Again I received several calls from 07768005836 my phone wasn't working properly and I could not receive the call. I received a text from Jason regarding my complaint and when would it be a convenient time to call. I sent another email to Una with a copy of the text, and stated I had specifically asked for a response in writing. I also requested a copy sky's policy's and procedures. I have emailed several times since and have not received a written response to my formal complaint. I am seriously thinking of taking this to the police as I am concerned sky are ignoring this.
