Our family lost everything due to a faulty Electrolux/Frigidaire air conditioner that we purchased brand new. Due to the air conditioner being faulty it caught fire two weeks after we purchased it. We were not home at the time this happened and our house burnt down along with all of our possessions. Electrolux should assume responsibility for this because the fire department concluded that it was the air conditioner that caused the fire. We have been trying to discuss this matter with the company for almost 2 years and they have kept pushing us to the side, ignoring our emails and phone calls. Now they say that our statute of limitations is up and we can no longer take any action against them. This is the first time that they have mentioned anything about a statute of limitations. Electrolux should be held accountable for their product and the damage it has caused our family. We have six children that had to come home from school one day to nothing, no house, no clothes, no toys, and no money. Thankfully to the help of our family, friends, community, and the Red Cross we were able to get started on rebuilding our lives, although we are still struggling to survive and bounce back from this horrific experience. We had to buy a used double wide to put where they house was and it is in bad need of repairs. We have struggled to get this far and feel that it is unfair and unethical of Electrolux to leave us in this situation. They should make this right and the fact that they haven't only shows how little concern they have for their customers.
