We are a church. They called in March to verify our address, phone. They wanted us to 'renew' our ad in the Online Public Yellowpages. I declned. They said it was a free service. I still declined. A man from their 'pre-legal dept' called last week (August)claiming that we owe $599 for the initial agreement and additional money for late payment and for legal fees. They played a tape of our conversation which had been all changed and spliced with new questions from them and then me saying 'yes'. I said this was not possible. We spoke again a few days later, I said that I had researched and knew this was a scam, that I would be reporting it to the BBB, FTC, and State Atty General (which I have). The man got very angry, said they would be turning it over to a collection agency and then hung up on me. They are wasting my time.
