I applied for a job through craigslist for a administrative assistant. I responded to the email and attached my resume! I received this email:

Hello,

We have reviewed over 17 applications and now we have narrowed our selection down to five. Great news, You are on the list of candidates we wish to interview by the end of next week!

Skills: Superb written and oral communication skills to do standard administrative duties like responding phones and taking messages, preparing mailings, and ordering supplies. We'll give more specific details at the interview.
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $16 - $20 an hour
Benefits Package: Healthcare, dental, disability/life insurance, flex medical spending plan, vacation/sick days and 401K

The job will need you to work in a high financial environment so it will be our corporate policy that we perform a financial verification check into all staff to verify applicant registration info. Its company policy that we have applicants sent through our link so we are compliant with the U.S employment standards act. Seems legit but then I received this one a few hours later:

Hello,

We would like to thank you for sending your resume to Ronsystems and Partners. After reviewing your initial credentials, I think you could possibly be a great fit for our company.

Our Human Resource manager would like to schedule an interview with you before she leaves for vacation early next week. You need to complete the pre-interview screening before we can schedule an interview, which can be found at http://orin-corp.org/application . Your applicant code is 143267.

Please write down your code, as that is the only way you can gain access to your application and employee profile. Once you complete your screening someone from HR will contact you within 72 hours to schedule an interview.

Okay, seems fishy to me. Great thing is I didn't fill out the credit report info on the link provided in the first email, because I had already ran my free credit report for an assignment for school. However I did respond with the report number and a time I'm available. :( I didn't give my credit card info, thankfully! Please watch out for this scam!! I told them I was reporting them and flagged them as well!
