Last week I applied for a small loan. I had several companies call me. And is the custom when applying for these loans, you must enter certain information into the online application. I received one very unusual phone call from a loantreeadvances.com. The representative began asking me very private information which was already given to them via the online application. Because I was so anxious to receive any loan at all I inadvertantly gave him the information requested. Upon trying to decipher what this very heavily accented individual was trying to convey, I then told him, "FORGET IT, I DON'T WANT THIS LOAN!" Now I don't know what part of I don't want this loan this gentleman did not understand, becuase suddenly yesterday, Friday the 31st of August, I have a deduction of $30.00 made from my account and in addition a membership to a company I clearly told the rep., I wanted no association to with them. So, my bank has had to suspend my bank card, and my account will have to be closed because I can not be sure that these fraudulent deductions wont continue to persist. The kicker is that the rep. I spoke to today said she can not reimburse my money. When I asked her why she said because they had the information I had given them via the online application and this is how they were able to make the deduction. She then tried to convince me to go to their website because I was approved for a loan UP TO $1000. I told her I did not want a loan of that amount and all I wanted was to be reimbursed the money they stole. I wanted a loan, which means money's placed in my account, not an unauthorized deduction. This is why I applied for the loan in the first place! I don't have money to give away!
