One night a man , Mike Burns < [email protected] >, called my personal cell and told me that as a musician, I had been scouted by an A&R team. He convinced me that since I was special they would do great things to further my career. New Bio, Listings with magazines and record companies, etc... I don't usually like to pay for services like this, but I had been scouted and my representative promised a lot of service. By the end of two days, after coming to my senses I wrote and asked to cancel my account. No one got back to me. Then I was billed out of my bank account $250. When I saw this I wrote again. This time customer service billing department wrote back. They apologized and promised to cancel my account and that I would not be billed again. I thanked them. Next month, $250 was removed rom my bank account again. At this point I started calling and writing and got the attention of their VP of Operations Joe Conte < [email protected] > Who promised me he 'was on it' and I would not be billed again. Then, next month $250 taken from account. I wrote a rather outraged letter to Joe who was angry at me and told me that I was 'Absolutely Not Billed Again"..."We would NEVER do that to a client!" So I sent him the confirmation email from his own company plus the statement from my bank both listing the withdrawal... He stopped writing back... Finally a few weeks later he wrote back saying that all the billings were valid and that I should expect a fourth coming up! But he would be happy to set me up with services, that somehow his company had forgotten to give me for three months. I told him plus the owner of the company, Mike Burns < [email protected] >, that they could keep the first $250, but please just refund the $500 that they billed. Still no answer from these coward thieves. I expect they will try to take the next $250 this month. They claim to be partners with BMI < bmi.com >, Comcast <comcast.com >, Jango < jango.com > and Universal Music < universalmusic.com > and I have to say that any company that would align itself with A&R Select has to looked at as either blind to their business relationships, or a scam arstist too. Shame on all of them.
