Hi, I would like to report an online scam I have been victim to. I purchased over 3 months ago an electronic item from the web site http://www.altronics.co.uk. I emailed the company to ensure legitimacy and asked if they were based in the UK to which they confirmed. They had issues with the visa payment system so could only accept payment via bank transfer. The website expressed delivery time between 2/3 days, however after a week still no delivery, upon which I emailed the company, the response took 3 days to receive and they explained short supply was the reason and I should wait a further week. However again this failed to materialise to which I emailed several times with no reply. I only received a reply when threatening to report them to the authorities, to which I received a rather defensive email again asking me to remain patient for a couple more days. This has now been over 2 weeks again with multiple emails sent without reply. I have obtained the address of the company from my bank and would be very grateful if you could advise of what action can be taken. I can also forward all communications that have been made along with proof of the cash transfer to the tune of £230 approx.
