On Nov 17, 2011 we purchased a program from SWREG Digital River for $299.00
On Aug 21, 2012 We had a call from "Ross" saying that they could not provide the program any longer and were to give us a full credit of 299.00 on our charge card. After a very long session with them we gave him our Visa account number and this was routed through Western Union and to our Visa. Then yesterday, Sept 4, 2012, he called again to say that it had been debited instead of credited, and to go and ask the bank to send it back to them. Well, Visa cannot do that as to much time has elapsed. I was more than a little upset and so I called Western Union only to be told that the money had gone from my Visa to somebody in India. There advice was to talk to the bank and to talk to the law enforcement authorities.
Ross called back about 9 oclock this evening and asked about the money coming from the bank and I told him the bank cannot do that.So I told him what the bank had told me, that this looks like a scam, and as did Western Union, advised me to talk to the police. I asked why, if they are a legetimate company, they can't send me a cheque or money order. He said they are not set up to do that. When I asked him if this is a scam they are running he hung up the phone.
