The owner of this shutter company came to see us and we liked the product. He told us that work would start in a couple of weeks. After lots of phone calls, work eventually started about 13 weeks after placing the order!
We had paid half the money (£1,600)on ordering and agreed to pay the other £1,600 on completion day.
The Polish fitter that arrived worked well, was a neat and tidy worker and very polite. The owner turned up and asked for the £1,600 we owed him. I immediately paid in cash. When we went upstairs to see the bedroom shutters I noticed that the shutters in the front bedroom were totally the wrong size and style. The owner said that he would re-order a new set of shutters immediatley but to keep the wrong ones up at the windows until the new ones arrived. That was nearly 6 months ago!!! He doesn't answer his mobile phone, his other two numbers have been disconnected and his advertisement number is a call centre who say they only converse with KEY WEST SHUTTERS by e-mail. Once, we managed to contact him by pure fluke and he told us that he would rectify all our problems. That was months ago and now he has disconnected that number too! We have been left with a ridiculous looking set of shutters and in the other bedroom, ill-fitting shutters that just need to be re-hung.
Please do not use this company as we have been waiting since January 2012 for our shutters or some contact but it is now September and still no word! AVOID KEY WEST SHUTTERS of South East London and spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
