  • You cannot cancel it. The same thing happened to me, exept I was charged twice! I told them I want a refund and you know what they said. They said that I agreed upon the terms and conditions and in the terms and conditions it says that no refund of discontinue is allowed. Purchases are final. Suffered a great loss of money! $90 down the drain. I am from South Africa and for me that is allot of cash! Hope this helps

  • Hey. I'm really sorry to hear about you being fooled by Home Cash Package. But I did cancel my subscription when they replied to my email. See below.

    TO CANCEL YOUR ACCOUNT:

Please go to http://account.mypcbackup.com/cancel and follow the simple process.
You will need to enter your username and password to cancel to confirm that you are the owner of the account.
If you do not have these or experience problems logging in, please reply to this email and I will help you.
Please confirm that the above process has been completed, by replying to this email, so a refund if due, can be issued. By not replying your ticket will remain on hold and we will not know you wish to receive refund.

Or if you wish you can give us a call to cancel:

  • Hi guys, very sorry to hear about what happened. I too fell prey to Home Cash Package. I paid $1 for them to check my debit card and I understand that after the 7 day free trial, I would be charged $69 unless I cancel the package? Can anyone let me know what happened after the 7 day period? Also, I didnt subscribe to the pcbackup that they told us to. Lets hope this can be resolved.

  • Hi MSchickerling, just follow this link http://account.mypcbackup.com/cancel and log in with your details. I was able to cancel my subscription through the link they gave me. I also received the refund in less than 24 hours. I threw them a fit, probably the reason they acted really fast. Sometimes you have to threaten people to give you what you want. That's what I did.

  • Hi Nicholas. I did not pay $1 after registering to Home Cash Package. I did the free registration, so I don't know what happens after 7 days. Maybe you should give your bank a heads up on your Home Cash Package subscription? In my case, I paid through Paypal for My PC Backup. I was able to cancel my subscription from there. When did you register to HCP?

  • Thank you Sam. I tried what you said and they agreed on refunding me with only one of the purchases. I cant complain. At least I am getting something back.

  • Hi Sam, I think the $1 was just to authorize the card. After speaking to my bank. I can confirm that $1 has been set aside to pay for this authorization but not yet debited from my account. I spoke to my bank and have informed them to cancel my card which hence disallows further transactions with HCP. I registered on the 10th of September but have yet to check with my bank as I am traveling at the moment. Thanks for the advice! Have you had any updates of late?

  • Hi Nicholas, I have been refunded by My PC Backup for the package purchase. I was ranting, demanding, really. And threatening them to have them take a quick action, which worked. I got a full refund of $24.90. I was overjoyed, and have learned my lesson, to never believe in Easy Money tactics on the internet. As far as HCP, I sent them an email telling them to cancel my account, but they aren't able to do that. They told me to leave it that way, and that they are never going to charge me for anything. I don't know if I should believe that, as they are into fooling people. So what I did was entered a fake Paypal account. ;)
