I rented a vacation rental via craigslist for 4 days. Yes, I was naive and sent $600 via bank transfer. After the party (then Robert Phil) wasn't able to convince me to send the remainder, his email account was disabled with no communication as to when to meet, pick up key, etc. When I found the same listing on Craigs List again, I created a new email and pretended to be someone else, asking for rental on days that overlap with my originals. The "now" renter (now Franklin Newton w/different email) indicated the apartment is available on the same dates he'd agreed before. BTW, I know it's the same apartment as both correspondences showed the same photos of the apartment. There are a number of other scam alerts in the craigs list vacation rental list, possibly the same person.
