I was doing my oDesk job, and while I was on this forum site, I saw this banner ad from Home Cash Package. I clicked the ad, bringing me to this blog with video testimonial of how legit their business is. There were even promising comments, but I bet they made those comments themselves to lure people in. After reading the comments, I was convinced it was legit. I was just curious at first, and thought that if I had to pay for the registration, I would not continue. But the registration was free, so I registered without second thoughts. It was going well until step 3. On the last part of step 3, they asked me to download My PC Backup. I did that, as it did not tell me to purchase the software. But after they told me to upgrade to $24.90, I did as instructed because of the promised $25 Affiliate Commission. They told me to enter the Order Number during my purchase to get my $25 commission earning. I tried so many times entering different sets of numbers, but the $25 commission did not appear in the My Earnings section no matter how I tried to refresh the page. So, I gave up refreshing and just moved on to the next step. To my horror, the next step asked me to purchase a website, so I discontinued following the steps because I knew right then that I was being scammed. They got me. They lured me in and robbed $24.90 from me.

  • Crap! Should've unsubscribed from them, or advised your bank of any transaction with HCP. Have you advised your bank yet? If not, you might want to do that to prevent from them from robbing money from your account.

  • Hi SamThorn, I hope you got back all the money you lost bynow...and its good that you are sharing your experience with others and helping them..
I have also gone through the website and signed up, but on the page where you have to enter the card details, there was a small box describing the terms and conditions, where they clearly mentions that you will be charged $69.95 monthly for unlimited access..
so i decided to search for scam and finally find this page where a lot of people are complaining...So I am safe now...thanks guys..
But is their anyone who did go through all the steps...because there was a guy who said this site is promoting products through webdesigning...So if anyone knows abt the details please share with us...
