I was recommended a mechanic by NRMA towing service who towed my car to the mechanic to have a replacement engine put in , clutch kit done,slave cylinder, rear main seal,rocket cover gasket, sump gasket,timing belt replaced , after 8 weeks i got my car back and the car has persisting problems , the mechanic has returned to my place twice to look at the car and said he will fix the problems. After taking the car to have a blue slip done on the engine i was informed the that the numbers didnt match my paper work and had to attend the police station and then contact RTA, eventually i had to pay $100 to have engine restamped. the persitting problem with the car is an oil leak to the rocket cover , car not starting correctly and the enigine has a miss which i have been told is the fuel pressure regulator that needs replacing, the horn is completely missing,my air conditioner now does not work which was fixed and in working order january 2012, gears crunch when changing from 1st to 2nd ,rocket cover oil leak, the engine uses 500ml of oil per fornight which i informed the mechanic via text message in the 2nd week of june, which my understanding the engine has a blown head and this is a pre existing condition as i told him there is a sludge under the oil cap which he said was only moisture but then came back and looked the second time (2 months later) in august and stated yes its a blown engine but it has just happened recently , then he responded that i only get 1 week warrenty with the engine and that its out of warrenty as it took 5 days for the car wreckers to deliver the engine to him, the mechanic now refuses my calls and text messages and i wish to be refunded the amount of $2500 so i can have the car repaired correctly
