International boundaries

Uses ammyy.com and some Indian who can hardly speak English who tells you that their company etechpro "charged your account" accidentally and say they're calling from "San Jose CA." The line is so bad that I can't see how this was true; I believe they're calling from India. They claim they need to credit your "account" with an amount (about $345.00) and want to "reimburse you" for this unapproved charge. They use Western Union (WU) for this scam, putting you through a 20-minute exercise so you can "create an account" with WU so they can reverse the charge. They say they represent "Microsoft." Yeah, sure. They start sending you e-mails about your WU "password" and start charging your CC or your bank account. Contacted WU who said they had not initiated those e-mails but did have an order to "charge" your account from these people, and they do it, claiming they have no way to stop them. They enter charges like one a week before you discover the scam.

I tried to follow the info from ammyy to get their software off my computer and so far have not had any luck; their instructions are incorrect, but still trying; entering a fraud alert with my CC's company that handles these fraud alerts.
I wonder if Microsoft is interested in the use of their name for these scams. Anybody contact them yet???
