I'm a senior citizen (81 yrs). I had homeowners insurance for 10+ years with this company without a claim. In the past 12 months, we had some pipes under the home repaired because of corrosion and sinkage. They did not pay for the actual plumbing repairs but to repair the tear-up of the rooms involved. Because of that, they will not renew my insurance and in checking around, the premiums are upward of $6000/year where I was paying Allied $987/year. How can they do this to people? One buys insurance in case of a problem, and then you are penalized if you file a claim. This is totally not prudent! We are just donating our money to them. It's not fair. It's just plain wrong!
