I hired Shepley Fence and paid $1000.00 deposit at the beginning of June. I was promised 5 different start dates from the owner through the last 3 months and he never showed up any of the days as promised. He finally dropped off a trailer with supplies in my front yard in the middle of August. 3 weeks later he showed up again for 4 hours and cut down a few sections of ficus hedge. He again promised he would return the next Monday and continue the work. It has been 2 more weeks and no phone calls and no emails and no show. He was fired today and is telling me that I breached the contract and he won't return my deposit.
