I noticed on my bank statement a mysterious charge of $29.95. It was taken directly out of my checking account without authorization. I called the number on the "Alliance" check, 1-877-886-0144, and they answered, "Billing Support." I questioned the charge and they said it was from Alliance Charge. Could not tell me what the charge was for but perhaps magazines or online entertainment. I said I had not authorized that charge at all. They then responded that they would refund the amount and it would show up in my account within three business days. I was wondering why they would do that without any questioning whatsoever. I then went online to see if this had happened to anyone else, and I was amazed at the number of identical complaints. The exact amount of $29.95 had been taken from many others' accounts, too. What a scam!!!! Scary that this could happen and many people might not even question a charge of 29.95, but if this company scams thousands of people, the amounts would add up quickly. Hopefully, banks will be able to shut down this company quickly. I know mine is investigating.
