BBQ (MC3 £359.99) bought for Mental Health Centre delivered with defaults + dangerous. Worldstores informed us to box dud BBQ and a replacement would be given on same pickup date (swapover of BBQs).

We stated we had a BBQ for x45 clients for the day after the replacement BBQ was due (Worldstores had 7 days to make this change over). Worldstores agreed, booked the swapover. Worldstores discontinued BBQ without informing us leaving us to believe BBQ would in time for BBQ event.

At no time over the 7 days did anyone inform us BBQ had been discontinued. We called on the day to check proceedings they stated no BBQ was being delivered no replacement BBQ

Hug stress, lengthy customer service calls and communications we were left backed into a corner, given no other option but to use the dud BBQ for the occasion due to Worldstores’s failings. Worldstores stated if we used the BBQ even once then we would be stuck with it but they would give us a £70.00 goodwill gesture.

We have been put in a position where our Mental Health Centre lost £290.00 for one days use of a dud BBQ. Only good to dump.

We have all communications/documention for this lengthy/stressful issue, leaving our Mental Health Centres limited budget out of pocket.

Have they been reasonable or legal as this BBQ never worked properly (fitness for purpose) b) safety (gas ignition did not work so had to light with matches making it dangerous which was the reason why we were replacing the Centre's previous bbq) c) arrived with dents (certainly not free from minor blemishes) d) screws were missing.

We have requested a remedy but they are not interested in offering us anything further (aren’t we meant to be offered a remedy, even after some months of use?).
