Ordered a 4 piece Haversham sofa set which included a 2 seater, 2 single seats and a glass table. The package arrived within the stated 7-10 days. However when we opened the package the glass table was smashed to pieces, i checked the packaging and nowhere on it did it say delicate/fragile etc, you would imagine that labelling would be standard practice. So I called the customer service number to arrange for a replacement. Unfortunately Asda will not replace and collect at the same time, therefore we had to wait 7-10 days for it to be picked up and we were then told it would be a further 7-10 days for a replacement or a refund, we decided to opt for the replacement. The initial order was made on 24-08-2012, today is the 27-09-12 and we still havent received a replacement but they still have our £160.00. I have spoken to 2 different call advisors who have both taken my contact number for a manager to call me back, guess what im still waiting, have to admit the 2 call advisors were completely useless and could answer none of my questions, all they seemed capable of was repeating the phrase 'im sorry'. I have now decided to contact Consumer rights and have searched the martin lewis web site for a UK based complaint number. Needless to say I will be contacting them on 0113 826 1267. Will never order or shop with asda again as this is the second time out of three that they have messed up an on line order. For such a hugh company their customer service/online sales suck.
