AC was purchased from GE under warranty and it failed on hottest day and month of year during heat wave the likes of which we have not had for decades. GE said their area service technician was on VACATION and could not come out for almost two weeks! They would not send an immediate replacement for defective system even though I offered to have it installed myself and am a senior citizen. This puts me in danger of heat exhaustion, heat stroke and even death! The unit was running so hot you could fry eggs on it! This is a very bad way to treat senior citizens and the elderly. This is an example of vary bad customer service. I requested that GE send an immediate replacement unit but they said they could not do this and in the same breath tell me to wait for two weeks and somehow endure the hot air the AC is blowing! It is highly irresponsible for GE to treat people this way.

Please everyone go sign the petition that we may together try to change how GE treats its customers. Who knows, maybe you, your parents, or your grandparents will be the next one GE puts in the oven when their defective AC fails and their service technician is on "vacation."
