I made arrangements for neighbors movers to pick up furniture in Monroe, LA 71202 on October 3,2012 and deliver to Houston TX 77047 October 5, 2012. The Allstate drivers arrived on Oct. 3 approx 10:30 with no space for my belongings, and had no inventory list. We called dispatch made them aware of situation they gave the driver a list verbally over the phone. My family was their on the scene I am already in Texas working and going to school. the allstate drivers and my family members stated "their is not even enough room to fit the couch and love seat the truck is already loaded down and their are no partitions to divide people belongings and they have nothing to cover the couches with. I have and original list of 15 items, 36 pieces to start with. My initial deposit was $585.81, then dispatch called me and requested another $201.28 for the drivers "so the drivers can't change the cost when they arrive." Which initially the cost was approximately $1458 that turned into over approximately over a $2000 move, we went over the list again and their were items added to the list that was noted requested and extra Queen bed set and $150.00 ($75.00) for two boxes, that was taken off. Now its a $1752.71 move. I told the company I had 3 days to make this move. They attempted to schedule a move for pick-up at 11:00 pm OCT 4, 2012, but could not guarantee delivery on Oct 5, 2012 and the movers from Accurated Movers told me he could not guarantee a delivery on 5th because he had several stops to make before arriving to Houston, TX. The drivers left and no pick up was made. Neighbors move coordinator Carl Williamson asked if they could deliver at a later date after Oct. 5, 2012 or pick up and delivery when I return from my 3-4 month job assignment. When I had told six different people: Shenequa, Carl, Tina, Prunet, Allie, Shay, about the time frame for this delivery and I had to go back to work. This was a failure to provide service and I spoke with Carl Williamson the move coodinator and he asked me to email him a letter requesting a refund so he could process through for refund after he read the email he decided not to refund my money he sent the call over to the manager Lisa I explained the situation to her and she sent me back to him to try and convince me of a later move. No pick-up or delivery has taken place so I called today Oct. 5, spoke with Carl he tells me to hold on switch the call to Tina and she tells me I can't recieve my refund back because they did attempt to send a truck to the home for pick-up Oct 4 at 11:00 o'clock at night but no one was going to be there. There was no pick-up and no delivery as promised by this company, no service rendered and they don't feel I am entitled to my money back. Everytime I call I am being tossed on from person to the next and then they won't answer the phone and this situation has stressed me out I am going back to work and still have no furniture. The service was horrible and I need to be refunded my monies back for no service rendered. After all of this $965.09 would have still been due on delivery totaling $1752.71 cents. This has been one huge headache.
