On Oct. 6, 2012, I contacted Ruth Sheri on Craig's List about a bulldog puppy. She said she had two left and they were her son's, who died. She had to part with them because they made her sad. She said they were AKC registered but only wanted $195.00 for transfer of ownership. She would pay for all transportation costs. After sending a money order for the $195.00, I eventually got an e-mail from Continental Airlines Pet Movers. In bad English there was an URGENT message that I had to sign the transfer of ownership document and e-mail it back so I would be able to legally receive the dog. I did this and received flight information for the arrival time of the dog. This morning a person from Action Pet Movers called to say that the puppy was still at O'Hare Airport in Chicago because no one paid the required REFUNDABLE travel insurance. They said they had sent an e-amil the day before but it had gone to my Junk Mail box. When I opened the e-mail it looked like it was from Continental Airlines. I was told to send $875.00 which would be refunded to me when the puppy arrived safe and healthy with a bunch of info for claim filing if the puppy got sick within 8 days. I called Continental Airlines to ask about this insurance. The representative said they do not require insurance to fly pets. The Action Pet Movers person called me back and I told him that I had called Continental. He said it was a company policy not an airline one. He tried everything to get me to send him a money order to Cameroon for $875.00 but I said I would have to see if I had that much money. He said he would call me back and I looked up scams while I waited for his call. I saw many scam notices so when he called I said I did not trust that his company was legit and I would not be sending money out of the country. Then he hung up.
